MnSCU-MSUAASF Master Agreement 1999-2001

ARTICLE 2 - NON-DISCRIMINATION

Section A. Employer and Association Responsibility.

The parties are firmly committed to affirmative action and as such accept their responsibility to ensure equal opportunity in all aspects of employment for all qualified persons regardless of race, creed, religion, color, national origin, age, disability, reliance on public assistance, sex, marital status, sexual orientation, veteran status, membership or non-membership in the Association, or any other class or group distinction, as set forth by State or Federal anti-discrimination laws.

Section B. Jurisdiction.

The parties recognize that jurisdiction for the enforcement of the provisions of Section A hereof is vested solely in various State and Federal agencies and the courts, and, therefore, complaints regarding such matters shall not be subject to the grievance procedure in this agreement. This does not preclude the use of any administrative procedure adopted by the employer.
