Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Employment Opportunities
Job Posting Submissions

Welcome to the job posting submissions page! Here you will create and submit employment postings for the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities system website. This site is a recruitment service for the campuses, an information source for our employees and the general public, and an “official posting site” to meet posting requirements in some union contracts. Specifically, the positions that must be posted here are limited to the following:

  • MAPE/MMA academic unclassified positions (i.e. MnSCU Program Directors 1-4. Customized Training Representatives, and MnSCU Program Supervisors 1 and 2.)
  • All MSCF Faculty – unlimited full-time, temporary full-time, and all unlimited part time.

All postings will go live on a Monday just as the MnSCU Employment Opportunities Bulletin was released on this day. Postings will go live at 12:01 a.m. on the date listed. Posting submissions for approval are due on Wednesday by 6:00 p.m. for the following Monday’s live posting.

Directions:

  1. Under Job Postings click on Create New Posting.
  2. Enter the job classification or faculty program or discipline and click on Create Posting. The template for your new posting is created.
  3. Simply move through each of the tabs entering the necessary information to construct your posting.
  4. Review your draft posting under construction at any time by clicking on Preview Posting in the upper right hand corner.
  5. After you’ve verified that your posting is complete, correct, and properly formatted, click on Submit Posting on the Finalize tab.

Your posting will then be reviewed and approved by the Office of the Chancellor HR staff and will post live on the website on the Monday you designate.

A few tips and important things to know:

Auto Formatting - With this system the appearance and formatting of all postings will be consistent, however, you now have the ability to manage all of your own formatting. Please be sure the formatting is correct before submitting your posting. The manual will explain in detail how to ensure that your formatting is correct. If you have formatting questions that the manual can’t answer, please call your staffing representative.

Editors have been included within text fields (Responsibilities, Qualifications, Application Procedures). The manual will give you detailed instructions on using these editors correctly to do things such as copying and pasting from Microsoft Word and using bullets.

Preview Feature - You are given the ability to ensure your formatting is correct before submitting. At any time you can click on “preview posting” in the upper right hand corner to see your posting under construction. If you have formatting errors you can correct them before submitting.

Search Feature - In addition to creating and submitting job postings, you can now search the entire system’s archived postings and copy your own archived postings. See the manual for details on using this function.
