Labor Relations

The Labor Relations department represents the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities in administering a comprehensive employee relations program throughout the system.  The primary activities include:

  1. Development of employee relations policies
  2. Negotiation of collective bargaining agreements
  3. Day to day contract administration
  4. Labor-Management partnerships
  5. Representing management in grievance arbitration procedures
  6. Training of managers and supervisors
  7. Coordinating meet and confer sessions, and

Labor Relations works closely with Minnesota Management & Budget (MMB) Labor Relations on union issues for the system’s classified employees.
