The Labor Relations department represents the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities in administering a comprehensive labor relations program throughout the system.  The primary activities include:

1. Development of labor relations policies
2. Negotiation of collective bargaining agreements
3. Day to day contract administration
4. Labor-Management partnerships
5. Representing management in grievance arbitration procedures
6. Training of managers and supervisors
7. Coordinating meet and confer sessions, and

Labor Relations works closely with the Minnesota Management & Budget (MMB) on union issues for the system’s classified employees.
