Summary: The Post Retirement Employment Program allows
classified and unclassified employees who are covered by the Minnesota
State Retirement System (MSRS) or the Public Employees Retirement
Association (PERA) to retire and return to part time employment
for up to five (5) years without a reduction in his/her retirement
annuity. The employer will
also make a contribution to the employee’s Health Care Savings
Plan (HCSP) that the employee may use to help cover the cost of
post-retirement insurance premiums after final separation from
state employment.
