Required Employment Postings

Summary: Both the Federal Department of Labor and the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry require employers to display mandated posters of interest to employees.  These agencies provide the posters at no cost to the employer.  Posters must be in a physical location where employees can easily see them.  Each worksite must post the following posters: 

Federally Mandated:

  • “Your Rights Under the Family and Medical Leave Act” (WH Pub. 420)
  • “Equal Employment Opportunity
  • “Fair Labor Standards Act” (Minimum Wage – WH Pub. 1088)
  • “Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Act” 

State Mandated:

  • “Safety and Health Protection on the Job”
  • Minnesota Workers’ Compensation employee Rights and Responsibilities”
  • “Minnesota Employees, You are Entitled To…”
  • “Know Your Rights Under the Minnesota and Federal Laws Prohibiting Age
  • “Discrimination”
  • “Unemployed?” (DEED 01760-13)
