New classification has a range maximum that is two or more steps higher than the current job class OR requires an increase of two or more steps to pay the employee at the minimum

Barg Screen > Job Screen-Status >  Assignment Screen (PCN) > possible retirement coding changes > Action/Reason to SEMA4.

Make changes to the PCN in SEMA4 Position and interface the Action/Reason to SEMA4 from SCUPPS

Demotion

The employee's current classification.

Make changes to the PCN in SEMA4 Position and interface the Action/Reason to SEMA4 from SCUPPS.

Transfer

Things to Consider

The employee's current classification.

 

Requirements

If the two classifications assigned are in the same salary range (min/max rates) OR if the salary ranges of the two classes differ by less than two steps at the minimum & maximum.

Part Time to Full Time

Things to Consider

Working 80 hours a pay period is considered FT; considerations would be eligibility for insurance benefits; retirement.

Full Time to Part Time

Things to Consider

Working less than 80 hours a pay period is considered PT; considerations would be insurance benefits; retirement; (possible layoff).

Employee is working less than 80 hours a pay period.

Classified to Unclassified

Things to Consider

Different Contracts -- for example:  AFSCME to MAPE -- Is this Unclassified position a Temporary Unclassified (Old Rule 10 - less than 3 years w/end date) or a Statutory Unclassified position (no end date)?
