  Enter FMLA in SCUPPS

When an employee is not working due to an FMLA qualified leave you must enter an FMLA related assignment into SCUPPS. When the employee returns to work you will return to the assignment to ensure the actual time taken is recorded accurately.

  1. Go into the SCUPPS record for the employee.

  2. Go to the Assignment page.

  3. Enter a new assignment for the individual based on their specific situation

Paid medical leave that is not FMLA qualifying

Unpaid medical leave that is not FMLA qualifying (faculty do not accrue seniority)

Unpaid parental leave (faculty do not accrue seniority)

  1. Enter the dates for the FMLA leave, and adjust the dates / duty days (for faculty) on the regular assignment.

star.gif  Remember that you must go back into the FMLA assignment at the end of the employee’s leave to accurately record the actual amount of leave taken.
